Lakewood Playhouse "Pirates of Penzance"

Gilbert and Sullivan's hilarious, hopeful farce follows young Frederic, an orphan who has mistakenly been apprenticed to an ineffectual but raucous band of pirates. He disavows the pirates' way of life and falls for the beautiful Mabel. Rainier to Ruston Rail-Trail Relay and Ultra

Race Start and Check-In is located at the Tacoma Mountaineers' Parking Lot
about 1/2 mile from the Carbon River entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park

Rainier to Ruston is hosting its 15th annual 50 mile run from the majestic base of Mount Rainier to the stunning waterfront of Tacoma. Ultra Runners and Relay Runners will commemorate the old railroad by passing through bell standards in each town on the way to the sea. Be sure to attend the bell-ringing in your town!  Runners will traverse gorgeous forests, historic Washington towns and cities, ending the run along a beautiful waterfront finish with a view back to Mt. Rainier where they started. The downhill and flat course is a runners dream. We look forward to having you join us!

Marymount Motorcycle Week

Marymount Motorcycle Week features an indoor display of more than 200 vintage and specialty motorcycles, an AHRMA-sanctioned vintage trials course on Saturday, a special display from the PNW Museum of Motorcycling, a motorcycle soccer exhibition, a stunt and drill team performance by the Seattle Cossacks (including their rarely-seen board crash), and an outdoor cruise-in that Father’s Day weekend. The heavy-hitter all-stars of motorcycle history like BMW, BSA, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph, Yamaha, and more will be highlighted during this special week which attracts thousands of automotive and motorcycle enthusiasts. Slug Fest at Northwest Trek

11610 Trek Dr E, Eatonville

11 am-4 pm.  Slug Fest reigns supreme as one of the zaniest weekends of the year at Northwest Trek. Celebrate all that is slimy and silly about the Pacific Northwest’s most valuable and misunderstood mollusk: the yellow-greenish banana slug.  Banana slugs are fascinating decomposers that break down organic matter and return nutrients to the soil. Without decomposers, forest floors would quickly become overrun with plant and animal waste, rather than being a beautiful place for regrowth. To celebrate banana slugs, trams will be equipped with tentacles as they make their way through the wildlife park’s 435-acre Free-Roaming Area on an animal-watching Discovery Tram Tour.
