22nd Annual Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park

Spanaway Park, 14905 Gus G. Bresemann Rd. South, Spanaway

5:30pm-9pm.  The largest holiday drive-through display in the Northwest, featuring nearly 300 elaborate displays and thousands of sparkling lights. The beautiful two-mile drive along Spanaway Lake has become a memorable lakeside tradition for the entire family.  $14/vehicle.  $45/bus with 25 or more passenger capacity.

Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium "ZooLights"

Point Defiance Zoo, 5400 N Pearl, Tacoma

5-9pm. Closed December 24.  Bundle up and stroll the Zoo as it comes aglow with more than a half-million lights. Experience a magical world of dazzling 3-D animal light displays, including a 22-foot wide rock crab with moving pincers, a whimsical 30-foot-wide underwater landscape, a majestic polar bear family, a giant Pacific octopus, and a 17-foot tall tiger head.  $10 general admission, 2 & younger free.

Tacoma Audubon Society Fort Steilacoom Park Bird Walk

8am.  A monthly guided walk.  Bring binoculars and a field guide (if you have one).  Birders of all ages and skill levels are welcome at this rain or shine activity! Free admission.

1:30-5pm.   Give Blood Save Lives!  For 70 years, Cascade Regional Blood Services has provided blood for patients at hospitals in Pierce and South King Counties.  Before you donate, be sure to eat well and drink plenty of non-caffeinated beverages. Bring photo ID.

Puyallup Home & Garden Show

Fri-Sat 10am-7pm, Sun 10am-5pm.  The Puyallup Home & Garden Show is a show designed for homeowners in all stages of remodeling, landscaping and decorating their homes. The show includes hundreds of exhibits with product demonstrations geared to enhance a wide variety of interests. Combining new products and expert advice from the pros, the Puyallup Home Show inspires homeowners with wonderful ideas on enhancing their home´s comfort and functionality, as well as the overall look and appeal of their home.  $8 general admission, $7 seniors/military, under 17 free.

Lakewood Playhouse "The Rocky Horror Show"

It's the weird and wonderful as newly engaged couple Brad and Janet encounter a problem when their car halts in the rain. They both look for contact, only to find themselves at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite. A place to stay is offered, but will Brad and Janet want to remain there? Especially when a large group of Transylvanians dance to the 'Time Warp', Dr. Frank-N-Furter builds his own man and a whole host of participation for the audience to enjoy. $30 general,  $28 military, $27 senior, $25 student.

West Pierce Fire & Rescue First Aid & CPR Class

Station 20, 10928 Pacific Hwy SW, Lakewood

9am-5pm.  A basic First Aid & CPR course. The course is subject to cancellation if the class minimum of 4 people is not met. One person, adult, child and infant CPR with airway management, first aid for choking, control of bleeding, splinting, bandaging, first aid for burns, sprains, strains, poison control, and other first aid procedures are covered.  $40/person.  Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
